Warren Adler is an American novelist.born on December 16th, 1927 in Brooklyn, New York . Adler graduated from Brooklyn Technical High School and New York University, where he majored in English literature following which he worked for a New York City newspaper. He went on to a successful career in business, acquiring four radio stations and a television station. However, writing fiction was an interest he began to pursue as a career with the publication of his first novel in 1974. Since then, he has written another twenty-six novels including The War of The Roses and Random Hearts both of which were made in motion pictures. Adler has also written short story collections that were made into films. His The Sunset Gang became an American Playhouse three-hour television production in 1991 and in 2002, a pilot was produced based on The Fiona FitzGerald Mysteries.Warren Adler is noted for his efforts to encourage new authors. He is the founder of the Jackson Hole Writers Conference in Jackson Hole, Wyoming and his website is lauded for its information for aspiring authors.

The success of his short story, "The Catch," in Esquire Magazine in 1959, encouraged Adler to become a professional writer and the first novel he wrote, The MAN Who Wanted To Live Forever (1963), was an immediate bestseller and launched Adler's writing career. Throughout his career, Adler has published more than 25 titles including novels, short stories, plays, non- fiction, and screenplays.

He has also written a new collection of short stories, "The Sunset Gang", which was released in 2019 as a tribute to his late wife Corinne. This collection was put together by his two daughters, following Adler's direction.

Adler has also adapted three of his novels for film: The War of the Roses (1989), The Sunset Gang (2019), and Random Hearts (1999). He has also produced his own independent feature films including: Children of Rage (1995); and Temptation (2003).

Warren Adler has had a long and successful career as an author, playwright, and screenwriter. He has received critical praise from major publications such as The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, and Variety.

Adler's work has been featured in stage productions throughout the world, and he has won numerous awards for his plays including the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award and the Robert J. Pickering Award for Playwriting Excellence.
