Triss

Triss is a novel by Brian Jacques, the fifteenth in the Redwall series. It was published in 2002.

The first scene in this Redwall novel is Riftgaurd, the home to albino ferrets, their army of rats, and their slaves. Three slaves, Triss, Shogg, and Welfo, escape from Riftgaurd and head south. Two of the ferrets, Kurda and Bladd, take some of the Ratgaurds with them to pursue the three creatures. Welfo doesn't make it all the way to Redwall with Shogg and Triss because she stayed at Peace Island with other hedgehogs. Meanwhile, two Dibbuns from Redwall Abbey stumble upon the remains of Brockhall, now inhabited by snakes. Also happening is that three animals depart from the mountain fortress of Salamandastron to seek adventure. They, plus the Abbeybeasts, assist Triss and Shogg to safety.
