Mark Adlard

Mark Adlard was born Peter Marcus Adlard in Seaton Carew, Hartlepool, County Durham, England on June 19. He is an English science fiction writer whose best known works are Interface, Volteface, and MultiFace. These were written in the early 1970s and are set in the near future. The novels concern T-city, a fictional domed megacity covering the entirety of the English North Eastern industrial belt between the River Tyne and the River Tees.

In 1978 Mark Adlard wrote The Greenlander a fictional account of the whaling industry in north east England back in the early days of steam. This was intended to be the first in a series but book two is a long time coming.
