Legend of Luke

The Legend of Luke is a novel by the British author Brian Jacques, and is the twelfth book in the Redwall series. It was published in 1999.

A New York Times bestseller, The Legend of Luke is about Martin the Warrior's father, Luke, and a bloodwrathed squirrel named Ranguvar Foeseeker. Together they free all the slaves on the slaveship Goreleech, but die trying. The Goreleech is smashed upon the tall rocks near the northern shore, and gets jammed between them. The entire bow falls into the ocean, leaving the stern to stay in the rocks which becomes a home to two mice who were Luke's friends, a hare named Beau, and an old mouse named Vurg, who was Luke's best friend.
