Knife of Dreams

Knife of Dreams (abbreviated as KoD by fans) is to be the eleventh book in American author Robert Jordan's The Wheel of Time fantasy series. It will be published by Tor Books and is projected to be released on October 11, 2005. As part of the marketing campaign for the book, Tor Books is sponsoring a "Knife of Dreams Internet Hunt" contest in the months leading up to the book release.

Plot speculation
This volume of The Wheel of Time is expected to tie up some minor and major loose ends exposed during the course of the series, including Mat Cauthon's journey through the door ter'angreal. There are also rumors that Tarmon Gai'don, the Last Battle against the Dark One, will begin in this book. Jordan has stated that a previous event in the series will have detrimental effects in this book.

Sequels
Jordan has also stated that there will be a total of twelve books in the main series. Therefore Knife of Dreams will have one sequel. After this, Jordan will finish with two more prequels in addition to the already published New Spring.
