Tabitha King an American author was born on March 24 in Old Town , Maine , 1949 and she is a social activist.

Tabitha King earned her bachelor's degree in history in 1971 from the University of Maine in Orono. Tabitha King has published seven novels. She has also written one work of non-fiction. She at present serves as vice president of WZON/WKIT.

Awards

University of Maine in Orono (1987) - King and her husband were awarded Honorary Doctorates of Humane.

Maine Humanities Council (1998) - King was the first receiver of the Annual Constance H. Carlson Public Humanities Prize.
