Choosing the best of the National Book Award winners
The National Books Awards sponsoring foundation has formed an interesting "book-a-day" blog to quality fiction winners to spot in their 60th anniversary of the National Book Award.
Starting with Nelson Algren's The Man With the Golden Arm (1950) to Peter Matthiessen’s Shadow Country (2008), each of the blog posts contains comments and related links. The countdown blog began July 7 and runs until Sept. 21.
The public will be choosing the best of the 77 books and on September 21, the foundation will be selecting six finalists, and cast for public voting i.e., one vote per emailID for a month.
