Hilary Mantel wins this year's Man Booker prize

British novelist, Hilary Mantel wins this year's Man Booker prize for her fascinating 16th century tale 'Wolf Hall'.
On Tuesday night Mantel, 57, received 50,000 pounds as prize money. Man Booker prize is considered as one of the most esteemed literary prizes.
The Other writers who are short listed for this year's Booker prize were A S Byatt, J M Coetzee, Adam Foulds, Simon Mawer and Sarah Waters.
The story 'Wolf Hall' is set in the 1520s and narrates the story of Thomas Cromwell's rise to fame in the Tudor court.
After accepting the award at The Guildhall, Mantel said that if winning the Booker Prize was like being in a train crash, ''at this moment I am happily flying through the air''.
She told the viewers that it took her about 20 years to make a decision whether to write this book or not.
The Man Booker Prize for Fiction was first awarded in the year 1969, upholds the most best in fiction by rewarding the very finest book of the year.
