Book talk or booktalk is a ready introduction to a book to basic, middle, or high school students. It most directly resembles a movie trailer, where the booktalker gives the audience a peep of the setting, the characters, and the main conflict. Additionally, the booktalker generally reads a way from the book. Throughout the presentation, the resolution or denouement is never addressed since the purpose is to attract students to read the book.
Book talks are normally used by school and public librarians, teachers, and reading coaches, to obtain a reader concerned in a book or to recommend alike books. It is an outstanding tool for reading motivation.
