Faith Baldwin
Faith Baldwin is famous author for her romance and fiction in U.S. She published more than 85 novels and most of them focused on women. The New York Times said that her books had "never a pretense at literary significance" and were popular because they "enabled lonely working people, young and old, to identify with her glamorous and wealthy characters."
Faith Baldwin in 1920 married Hugh H. Cuthrell and in 1921 she published her first novel - Mavis of Green Hill. The next 56 years from then she published more than 85 books. Her very last completed novel - Adam's Eden, published in the year 1977.
The popularity of Faith Baldwin writing was huge. The common thing you can notice in her novels is - despite all the difficulties the hero and heroine are united at the end. At the same time evil, depravity, poverty, and sex found no place in her work. In the midst of the great depression, she published 5 novels in magazine in serial form and 3 earlier serials in volume form and in 1936 four of her books were made into motion pictures. She also spent time in writing stories, articles and newspaper columns.
