Onat Kutlar
Mehmet Arif Onat Kutlar is Turkish author was born in January 25, 1936 in Alanya. He was initiator of the Turkish Sinematek and one of the founders of the Istanbul International Film Festival.
Onat Kutlar grew up in the city of Gaziantep . He completed law at Istanbul University and philosophy in Paris . Presently, the FIPRESCI Prize in the National Competition of the Istanbul International Film Festival is named after him to remember his contribution to the Turkish cinema. He died of wounds in a terrorist attack in Istanbul on January 11, 1995.
